Just Like my Daddy :)

I am extremely lucky to be blessed with some fabulous fellas in my life! I had a wonderful, loving Dad growing up who ALWAYS spent time with our family and showed my sisters and I that we were the most important people in his life. And I love the way that he loved my mom. My parents never held back their affection for each other and always spoke positively about each other in front of us. We never doubted that our parents were in love! Love you Daddy-O and the standard you set for our future husbands! :)

Now as I watch my husband spend time with our son, I am again thankful to the Lord that Trent has such a passion and desire to instill godly and manly qualities into Austin. I love watching them together. I fall more in love with Trent every time I see him playing with Austin and truly investing in his life!

Trent loves taking Austin to the golf course. Golf is one of Trent's passions and he is sharing that interest with our little boy. Austin has his own set of little golf clubs that he carries along with him on the course. Austin's favorite parts of the adventure are the golf cart rides and hitting the ball really hard.

As much as Austin looks up to Trent, I am confident that one day he will grow into a man just like his Daddy! :) And that certainly makes my heart happy!

In an effort to provide the absolute best summer EVER for Austin, I like to have at least one fun thing planned for us to do everday! :)
Yesterday, we went to play date at one of my best friends, Curry's, house to play with Brooker. Brooker is almost 1 but keeps up with toddler Austin very well! They went from playroom, to living room, backyard, then back to playroom - destroying everything in their path! Such fun friends they have become!

Today we had plans to go to Jumping Jacks with the local MOPS group (yeah I'm trying to pretend I'm a stay at home momma!) and several friends, but Austin took a VERY long morning nap. I was glad he was getting some rest, but I was really looking forward to joining our friends out at JnJ. So after lunch, Austin and I went to the park instead. This baby boy LOVES to play outside!!!

Austin thinks he's a big boy: found some fellas who shared their airplanes and then joined some other boys playing with trucks on the slide!

This afternoon, we may be heading out to the golf course when Trent gets home. Austin likes to hit the ball in the hole at the green!

The "stay-at-home-momma" kinda life!

I'm finally starting my first "real" blog post! Austin and I have been super busy so far this summer. Fun stuff of course! But I have to hand it to my "stay-at-home-momma" friends....it's exhausting entertaining a toddler ALL day!!! And I don't think my house has ever been this messy/unorganized. ;)

Austin LOVES playing outside so we have been spending lots of time in our pool and at Wild Adventures. When Kathy and Landon came to Valdosta for the week, we took the baby boys to Wild Adventures with mom and Dad. Everyone had a blast riding the kiddy rides, train, seeing the animals, and splashing in the water park!

Emily came home for Father's Day last weekend and wanted to spend some time with Austin. So again, we visited Wild Adventures! We even got to feed the giraffe this time.  Austin just can't get enough!

Another way that we have been staying busy is visiting the park. It gets pretty hot by lunch time, so we always like to go either in the morning or late in the afternoon. If it's raining we hit up the mall castle! This busy boy just loves to play, play, play!!!

Austin and I have also enjoyed getting a little creative! We have discovered painting and coloring with markers. He just gets a little messy........YIKES!

Can't wait to see what more adventures we can find this summer! Love being home with my baby boy!!!

Yikes, all this pressure to start a blog and now I can't think of anything to say! Who in the world would find me interesting anyway?! Just a plain old mom with a plain old life! ;)
